Wow how good does this outdoor area look. It was transformed. We used colour bond Matt Standing seam. The BBQ area was concrete rendered and lined with spotted gum lining boards for an awesome finish. Then fitted with built in BBQ and outdoor fridge. Our last job in Venus Bay for a while. After completing 2 bathrooms and this being the second deck over the last couple of months we will be working a little closer to home for a while. This deck was completed for a lovely young couple whom we renovated their downstairs bathroom a couple of years ago, so it was great to catch up and good to see them enjoying what we had transformed. The deck is constructed out of treated pine and clad with Silver top Ash decking boards all screwed with stainless screws. We installed a new aluminum door opening out onto a great space that will be used extensively during summer. The outdoor area here in Wattlebank was not quite getting the use that it could have due to wind. After some discussion with the clients, the solution was to close off the area with windows. We used a commercial frame with fixed glass. We also added a bifold servery to one end with a Hardwood bar. In addition to these we fitted a full outdoor entertaining kitchen and appliances including commercial rangehood to remove any BBQ fumes. To finish, the area was tiled with 450x450 tiles. Check out the video below A little rebuild we did on a deck for a client in Venus Bay. Came up a treat, much more usable now. Nice and clean also a lot safer than the old one. Finished with Modwood and stainless steel wire. Scott and Zoe asked The Andymann to build their extension after completing stage one for them. An architect designed home using modern materials to be built on a sloping block presented its own challenges. With much consultation and input from the clients we have completed their dream holiday house. Nice clean lines and beautiful views of the Wilsons Prom and Waratah Bay.
How is this great entertaining area? This house was just finished when we tiled under the veranda with timber look tiles. Once this was completed, we went on to create an amazing space outside. Silver gum Mod wood was used for the decking and cypress pine posts these products will last many years with very little maintenance. The area was set down to ground level to match the tiling and give a nice line into the rear yard.
A mans shed can be everything to him, this one was a one off. Specifically designed to fit into a small odd shaped area for Dan an Erin in Inverloch. Its more than a simple shed, it is built to match the existing property, plastered and painted inside. It is now a great space for storage, tinkering or what ever you can think off. They were struggling to find someone whom was interested to build for them. Once completed it was a great result.
Brian and Nola had a very tired deck and a retaining wall that were in need of replacement. We started by removing the existing structure. A new retaining wall was built to smarten up the garden. The deck required a total rebuild.
